• Pet care should be a shared family responsibility

  • Examine the bunny closely before buying (look out for bright eyes and active movements)

  • Cages should be spacious, secure and cleaned frequently

  • Change food and water every day

  • Keep cages away from direct sunlight, heat, drafts, moisture and predators (it could be your dog!)

  • Always watch your bunny when it's with children or other pets

  • Avoid male-female pairings to prevent rapid population growth (bunnies are fertile all year round)

  • Any change in normal behavior could be a sign of illness. Consult your vet if you see any problems

  • Don't neglect your bunny after the initial excitement wears off. Your bunny needs attention and exercise daily

  • Remember: To you, he's a bunny, to him, you're everything
